• Through our website, you can use your credit card to make the payment to purchase full version of the app.
• Our website uses PayPal’s secure payment gateway.
• None of your credit/debit card information is captured or stored in our own servers; this information is directly handled by PayPal’s secure payment gateway.

Does the full version of the app require recurring payment like a subscription?

• No, it does not require any recurring payments.
• It only requires a once-off payment of AUD $10.00

Can I pay using my PayPal account to purchase the full version of the app?

What is the difference between trial and full versions of the apps?

• The trial version of the app has access to a limited number of book levels and books.
• The full version of the app provides access to 80+books already published and all the new books which would be added in future.
• Upgrade your app to the full version to enjoy all books. 
• Refer to these instructions to upgrade your app.

How to use the app with multiple children?

• You can use multiple children with the TamilPictureBooks4Kids app. 
• Go to the settings mode and add additional children.
• Once you have added the children, switch to the reading mode and then you should be able to switch between children by clicking on the kid’s image.

Why is the app asking a maths question?

• The TamilPictureBooks4Kids app has two modes, Reading Mode and Settings Mode. 
• When the user clicks the SETTINGS button on the home screen, the app prompts with a maths question. 
• It is to prevent young children from reaching the SETTINGS mode and doing any unintentional changes or deletion.

Why am I getting a message saying “You need to spend enough time reading the whole book to get points!”?

• If a child swipes through the pages of a book and reaches its end too quickly, the app may warn him/her with this message. 
• This is to prevent them from navigating to the end of the book without properly read the text on the book pages. 
• Read the text at a nominal pace to prevent this message from appearing.

Why do some books show a red NEW label on some books?

• When new books are published, they are flagged with a red NEW label to highlight them.
• This flag would be visible for a predefined time period from the published date. 
• Note, the red NEW label would be still visible even after a user reads the book (until its predefined time period expires.)

How do we find the new books which were published recently?

• New books would be published in future.
• Look for the red NEW label on its cover page (on the books grid.)

How do I log out of my account?

• On the app home screen, tap the SETTINGS button.
• Answer the maths question prompted.
• Click the gear-wheel button on the top left-hand corner to reveal the menu.
• Select the Logout option at the bottom of the menu.

How do I add another child to the app?

• On the app home screen, tap the SETTINGS button.
• Answer the maths question prompted.
• Click the gear-wheel button on the top left-hand corner to reveal the menu.
• Select the ‘Kids Management’ option.
• Tap the (+) PLUS button
• Enter the child’s name and year of birth and select SAVE button (note, you do NOT need to enter the full date of birth.)
• Tap the sample kid’s image next to the new child added to change the child’s photo.
• Select the gear-wheel button on the top right-hand corner and select ‘Home – Parent Mode’
• Tap the READ button on the top right-hand corner and confirm by selecting YES.
• You would be directed to the app’s home screen.
• Tap on the kid’s photo and select the child just added.
• Confirm by clicking YES.
• The recently added child can use the app to read books now.

How do I use the app on multiple devices (phones, tablets, iPads)?

• The app can be used on multiple devices (up to 5) using the same TamilPictureBooks4Kids account. 
• Install the TamilPictureBooks4Kids app on your devices (phones, tablets, etc.)
• Log in to the app using the TamilPictureBooks4Kids account you had created when you signed up for the service.
• You should be able to see the kids you already had under your account and the progress they had made. 
• They should be able to simply continue reading books on the new device now.

How can I report any issues?

• If you encounter any issues or if you have any suggestions, you can send us a message.
• On the app home screen, click the SETTINGS button.
• Answer the maths questions prompted.
• Click the gear-wheel button on the top left-hand corner to reveal the menu option.
• Select the ‘Feedback’ option on the menu.
• Type in your message and click the SUBMIT button to send it.
• Include your email address in your message, if you want us to get back to you.

What are the different modes?

• There are two modes on the app, Reading Mode and Settings Mode. 
• The Reading Mode is the default mode for children to read books.
• The Settings Mode is for parents/guardians to access advanced options.

Why do some books show a lock icon and those books are not opening for reading?

• If you see lock icons on any books, it means you are on the trial version of the app.
• You could only access a limited number of book levels and books on the trial version.
• Upgrade your app to the full version to enjoy all books. 
• Refer to these instructions to upgrade your app.

How do I remove a kid’s reading progress and/or points?

• On the app home screen, tap the SETTINGS button.
• Answer the maths question prompted.
• Click the gear-wheel button on the top left-hand corner to reveal the menu.
• Select the ‘Kids Management’ option.
• Tap on the Trash (Delete) button next to the child you wish to remove.
• Confirm YES on the message prompted.
• The child and their progress data would be removed now.

How do I remove a device I no longer use?

• On the app home screen, tap the SETTINGS button.
• Answer the maths question prompted.
• Tap the gear-wheel button on the top left-hand corner to reveal the menu.
• Select the ‘Device Management’ option.
• Tap the red button next to the device you would want to remove from your account. 
• This would log you out from the TamilPictureBooks4Kids app on the device. 
• If required, now you would be able to use the TamilPictureBooks4Kids app on a new device using the recovered spare device license.
